I had photographed this famous little windswept cavern the evening before; but the bright sunlight was shining in through several openings, creating harsh shadows and blown out highlights. I returned early the next morning and found the cave glowing from the indirect sunlight reflecting off a mound of red rock to the west. To me, it looks the trunk of an elephant drinking from a flowing river on the floor of the cave. A little elephant in the room.
